MHDP created in this project an enormous personal value for the Client and their extended family to allow the parents to “age-at-home” gracefully and in the environment they love.
This alteration and addition was designed with the future in mind, to allow a retired couple to remain on the site that they love while allowing for them to age at home. Incorporating large recreational spaces for visiting family, this house also included space for future wheelchair access as well as a meandering pathway around the outside of the house to allow for level access to the vegetable garden and the essential wine-cellar basement.
