This trip was intended to expose us Sydneysiders to all the allures of the region. We learnt that the Wingecarribee Shire and all its towns indeed have amazing culture, food, nature and history. Safe to say we all could appreciate the lifestyle that’s on offer here. We also learned more about each other which was a great bonding experience for the whole MHDP team. We stayed at the very pleasant Highball House in Bundanoon for two nights and three days. It was a massive house with 13 bedrooms and lots of activities for evervone to get competitive with (chess, pool, ping pong, etc). In and around the extraordinary quantity and quality of dinners and lunches we had, we did manage to sprinkle in a bit of “work”, with presentations by staff and some fun art challenges to get our creative juices flowing. Definitely a success in all aspects. We’d like to thank Benjamin and his family, who are seasoned locals of the region, for preparing the tours and sharing only a glimpse of all that the Southern Highlands has to offer..
