MHDP Architects had 7 year-10 students from SHORE School come in for the day to learn what it is like to be an architect and try it for themselves - designing a family residence in Allambie Heights
The students were given a tour through some of MHDP’s current projects. Then for their design project, they learnt about site analysis, the brief, form and materiality and even had a lesson on the BCA through the wisdom of the Simpsons.
Now equipped with all this knowledge, the students worked together and started designing, drawing, modelling and selecting finishes to bring their ideas to life.
By the end of the day the students had produced a 3D CAD model, elevations and a mood board. They presented their process and their final design.
