Description – NEW WATERFRONT RESIDENCE

Location of Project –  EASTERN SUBURBS

Year Project Commenced – 2009

MHDP headed a collaborative Client/Architect/Builder team where at each opportunity decisions were weighed to ensure the most cost-effective options were used while not compromising the quality – resulting in a fabulous residence that came in over 10% under budget.

This Eastern Suburbs waterfront home is a modern building with a traditional appearance, using detail and finishes that respect the adjoining heritage property of Carthona.

The house is purposely “split” over its 5 levels, so that the bottom three floors, containing indoor-outdoor pool, gymnasium, guest flat and 8-car garage create a base that the upper two floors of main living and bedrooms are built off.  A historic, Italianatte-inspired palette runs right through the residence, from the arched colonnade to the coffered outdoor room ceiling and into the interior design and furnishings.

MHDP headed a collaborative Client/Architect/Builder team where at each opportunity decisions were weighed to ensure the most cost-effective options were used. In this way, the project was delivered significantly under the original estimated budget. The resulting building is a family home that allows the Clients to live their dream of a traditional home with no compromise to their lifestyle and one that maximises the site’s opportunities.

TESTIMONIAL

We would like to thank Mark , Ben and the MHDP team for their work in designing and building our home in the Eastern Suburbs. The original design for the new house was drawn by another noted Sydney architect but the estimated build cost was way beyond our expectations. MHDP managed to take the plan and reimagine it in a much more cost effective way, with many added improvements, then introduced the builder and got it built, on time and on budget. Amazing. We are very happy with the end result and the whole project was carried out in a friendly inclusive manner, which helped make this an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
