Description – WATERFRONT RESIDENCE

The design was inspired by a close connection to the beach, turning the long strip of land into the visual metaphor of a longboard riding the waves, with bubbles rising from beneath.
The architecture is a blend of sleek contemporary lines and curves with unique elements that reflect the beachside setting. The living spaces are articulated on the first floor to optimise views and foster a seamless indoor-outdoor flow, perfect for entertaining guests or simply unwinding after a day spent on the beach. Clerestory windows and expansive glass doors allow natural light to flood the interiors, creating an airy and open ambiance, while at the same time carefully framed windows and privacy blades screen off overlooking by adjacent neighbours.
Positioned on the first floor of the house is a double-glass-ended-pool, designed to blend harmoniously with the ocean beyond and adding an incredible wow factor to the indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool’s location not only maximises the panoramic vistas but also provides a private oasis for relaxation and enjoyment. You can even ride the longboard on the roof terrace, accessed via a pop-up skylight and stair access.
The “Longboard” at Curl Curl Beach represents the pinnacle of coastal living. Offering unparalleled views of the headlands and ocean with joyous internal and external spaces, this residence exemplifies the perfect synergy between architectural excellence and the serenity of beachside living.
