Description – FOUR UNIT DEVELOPMENT

Location of Project –  NARRABEEN

Year Project Commenced – 2011

This MHDP Development was completed on time and budget.  A successful marketing campaign saw the completed units sold in just six weeks and set sales records for non waterfront apartments in the Narrabeen area.  The profit returned to investors exceeded 25% R.O.I.

This development located between the lake and ocean is the first MHDP development.

Zinc at Narrabeen is a boutique development of four dwellings. The building type is a new concept in living that blurs the line between high end apartment and private house, combining the best aspects of both building forms. In feeling they are modern terraces, but with so much more to offer.

Responding to environment and place, these dwellings maximise the site’s unique coastal location.   They incorporate flexible  layouts, a range of outdoor spaces including a roof terrace with plunge pool.  All levels are connected by a private lift and each unit has its own street entry and front and rear garden.

As a development MHDP sourced and bought the site, established the project strategy and feasibility.  The construction was financed in a joint venture with a former Client and the Builder with the former Client ultimately taking ownership of one Unit.

The project was completed on time and budget.  A successful marketing campaign saw the remaining three Units sold in six weeks.  The prices achieved set records for non waterfront apartments in the Narrabeen/Collaroy area.  The profit returned to investors exceeded 25% return on funds invested.

TESTIMONIAL

“It is an absolute pleasure to live in our Mark Hurcum designed home. We know this – as we have deliberately sort to live in two of these homes now and we enjoy the benefits of living with exceptional design every day.

It is a joy to be in such beautiful buildings and in such beautiful spaces. These spaces have flare. They have been well thought through to function efficiently for us, the occupants,  providing a lifestyle quality sadly missing for so many.

The clean curves and angles of walls and the voids between storeys provide vignettes of simple interior and exterior viewpoints, the all-important air flow and connects the occupants to each other through sound paths. Our living areas have been on the second floor where the views are, where it is light, bright and the recreation and entertaining spaces inside and outside flow easily.

The ambience created is welcoming , light, comfortable, safe and secluded (“hygge” in Danish) – true retreats from the outside world.

Then there are the little things, the deep blue pool,  unobstructed window corners, staircases built wider at the top to beckon you up, private sight lines and the artisan interior and exterior finishes.

Coming home to our MHDP spaces is such a pleasure and a relief. “
