With a string of successful DA approvals this year, MHDP Architects is pleased to celebrate another one.
After a long process of negotiation through the DA assessment, it was great this year to see the approval of our proposed major renovation of an existing large-scale duplex in Lavender Bay. The heritage aspects of the area were carefully managed and considered and needed to be worked through with Council’s planning and heritage officers.
Perched high above the street on a rock shelf, access had always been an issue for this site. This development provides double car underground parking and a much improved amenity for the client, wrapped up within the envelope of the original building – balancing new and existing building fabric.
