The design and its accompanying site-specific DCP approval was such an attractive financial proposition that Mirvac bought the site off the Client prior to construction, at an undisclosed but never-the-less record price for Tuncurry.
Development of a site-specific DCP for an iconic existing hotel with its bar areas set around a large swimming pool. The design re-created the existing hotel experience as part of a multi-use development incorporating retail, hotel, conference facilities and residential apartments in a landmark building relating to its coastal location. Resulting from the strength of the design and added value to the site, the Client successfully on-sold to Mirvac while retaining ownership of the hotel operations.
