Replacing six houses with fourteen dwellings in a suburban setting for the Defence Housing Authority potentially raised community issues.  By using the topography and detaching and articulating dwellings on the high side of the site, view and sunlight amenities to neighbours was maintained.  The central village-green element provided a focal point, play areas and contributed to the stormwater management.
