MHDP has been involved for many years in the incremental roll-out of upgrades to staff and student support facilities across SHORE School. This involves detailed coordination with services consultants and contractors in a design and construct role to achieve a great outcome for the school.

MHDP was requested to assist in an upgrade to the school’s fire services for a unique piece of 1960’s architecture that links two buildings. Known as the Robson Reading Room, the bridge structure and quiet study space was causing fire compartmentation issues for SHORE.

While undertaking the coordination to rectify this BCA issue, MHDP Architects provided a masterplan concept that demonstrated a new way to utilise this unique and geometrically challenging structure.
