Martin is an Associate of MHDP and his role involves overviewing the office and project management.  Martin is responsible for the development and maintenance of MHDP’s Business Systems and quality control.

Martin’s approach to architecture is systematic and disciplined.  His particular skills encompass construction process and detailing as well as project management through all phases but particularly during construction.

Martin joined MHDP Architects in 2013 having developed his experience at firms in Sydney and Melbourne with an emphasis on high end residential and sustainable architecture.  Martin gained his registration in 2014.

Martin has been Project Architect on a diverse range of MHDP projects, in particular he was responsible for the project management of Dakota Avalon, a complex private residence where Martin worked very closely with the building team and directly with Sub-Contractors to deliver an outstanding project which won the Master Builder’s House of the Year 2019.

He has been directly involved in MHDP’s development projects, Zinc Narrabeen and Mitala Newport.  For each of these projects Martin worked alongside Mark Hurcum to establish feasibilities, cost plans and project delivery.  He then went on to manage to completion both projects which were delivered on time, on budget and exceeded market expectation.

Martin’s interest in the art of making provides a creative approach to building detailing and design.  His communication in both drawn and written form clearly and efficiently enable quality outcomes at both planning and construction phases.

With a passion and interest in art, film and photography, Martin has a great eye for proportion, composition and form.  His photography explores a unique way of looking at the built environment.
